Yes, I still see Boxee crashing, for instance when selecting to play some Shoutcast radio station. However, since removing pulseaudio my system is much more stable than before.

I have actually gotten it to play music and it will as long as you don't try to change anything (skip a song, pause, etc). I can get the first song to play, but if you touch a key it crashes and this is the logfile output:

Unhappy Digital audo output == the suck

I've been seeing similar issues. It seems to be linked to using digital output and iec958.

I changed the audio settings to use analog output, and I was able to play .mp3 files without crashes. Of course I didn't get any sound because I'm dependent on spdif out on my HTPC setup so I'm still stuck.

    Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Same symptoms here on similar system (Intrepid, digital audio output). Again, videos are usually fine but audio is so fragile. It'll usually start playing, but then seg fault when trying to skip a track etc.

Stability between running under PulseAudio and running Boxee under pasuspender seems to be about the same. I'll try doing analogue output and see what the effect is.

Im having the same issue: segfault when playing music, however I'm not using digital audio, im using analog, so I guess its not just limited to digital audio?

I'm having quite a few problems as well - analog audio, ATV - latest version. I have posted a bugreport in the appropriate section but haven't heard anything. Let me know if I can help with debuglogs or similar.

As does mine. I'm using Boxee on Intrepid with the following card:

00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801JI (ICH10 Family) HD Audio Controller

Seemed to be a bit better after fully removing PulseAudio, rather than just using pasuspender, but I think that was wishful thinking - it's now as unstable as ever.

However, I installed XBMC on the same system and had absolutely no problem with the audio playback, so it's not intrinsic to the underlying codebase.

same here... video is usually fine, even though I get a crash while logging into boxee now and than... on two occasions I had video playback fail - giving me only blank screen with audio as playback.

Music playback is same as already described here - totally random - sometimes it works sometimes crash. Sometimes crash while skipping to next track.

Sure fire way to crash it is to play an mp3 and start clicking next song - it will crash if not immediatelly.. than within seconds.

Using Intrepid with s/pdif digital audio...
