Default Boxee only runs as root

I'm having problems getting Boxee to run as a normal user on Hardy. It appears to get stuck trying to find keyboardmap.xml when logged in normally, but runs perfectly fine as root.

I did a search and found various other reports of this same issue, but those apparently seemed related to the video card, whereas I know mine (a 8400GS) is more than capable, esp. as I can run Boxee as root!

Log is attached. Any tips or help greatly appreciated!

    hmm. interesting.
can you please check if you have the following file: ~/.boxee/UserData/Keymap.xml and what its permissions are?

    thanks.

Aha, my entire ~/.boxee was root:root somehow... switched to dave:dave and now it's all working perfectly!

Can't think how I did that, don't usually run stuff as root first time...

    Oh well, thanks
