amd 5450
hi all,
having an issue with an amd 5450 and hdmi out. when i play an mkv file that is in h.264 the video is extreamly laging. why is that?

#1. make sure you have updated drivers for the video card
#2. make sure you have updated codecs on your computer
question: how does the mkv file play from windows media player ?
is the file local on that computer or on network drive ?

Definitely update your video drivers and the Realtek driver for the HDMI audio if you're using that rather than a separate sound card for audio.
Boxee uses its own ffmpeg-based internal decoding libraries, so codec installation/updating isn't necessary.
