Default The best way to store vids?

So I have a 1 tb HD connected to my system via ReadyShare on my router. It works okay but is fickle on my mac (3 windows and one Mac on the network). I am just about full on my 1TB so I am looking at all options to replace it. I want it to be able to connect all the systems I have and while I am a reasonably intelligent person I never really put a lot of effort into learning networking - so the easier the better.

What are most of you using to store your data?
    Win 7 - 32bit
    NVIDIA GeForce 210
    Dual Core Intel 2.8 ghz @ 800mhz
    3 gb ram
    Boxee 0.9.23.15885
    Flash player 10.1

Most people experience best performance when storing media on a computer hooked up via wired Ethernet or with a good NAS with good hardware (fast processor). I've heard good things about Synology.

A Windows Home Server box is also a good all-around solution as this seems to perform excellently with Boxee.

So far, all my videos are stored on hard drives within the computer hosting Boxee. I have a 2tb for movies, a 1 tb for tv shows, cartoons, and my personal videos. There is a second 2tb and 1tb for backup.

I'd like to use shared network drives, but I decided it would be easier to get Boxee working with internal drives, then migrate later. There are too many questions on this forum relating to problems with accessing drives over the network for me to feel this is a low risk for initial Boxee installations. Your mileage may vary; offer void east of the Mississippi, etc etc.

If i only had one that would work fine but I am running 3 tvs with 3 computers all with boxee and moving that much data to each is too much... I have been interested in a NAS so I may give that a look...

I have a 2TB HDD plugged straight into my boxee. It works great and can be seen on the network. Goto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY2BenCn49Y for instructions on how to set it up (about 5 mins into the video). If your MAC doesn't have Samba, you will need to download and install it. Samba is free. Then all machines on your network should be able to see the HDD.
