    Default Pulse Audio crash on start-up

    When I run boxee, I get the following error:

    Running Boxee test...
    * Enable platform firectoriesAnd the log goes to... /tmp/root-
    is rtorrent running: 1
    ALSA lib pcm_pulse.c:625pulse_prepare) PulseAudio: Unable to create stream: Invalid argument

    E: stream.c: Assertion 's' failed at pulse/stream.c:971, function pa_stream_drain(). Aborting.
    Aborted

    I can't remember if I am running an odd audio driver due to me using Creative's XiFi card. I think I might be. Does boxee only support ALSA?

    Yes, you have to remove pulseaudio and use alsa

    Yeah, I removed pulseaudio and it loads now - though now my TV-Out is all knackered, but that is an Ubuntu problem, not a boxee issue.

    So, as far as I got, the new version works ok, I just gotta try it out properly with a decent display

    Crazy question how do you point it to the ALSA drivers instead of the pulse? Because all my drivers in Ubuntu are already pointed to ALSA.

    have you tried just removing pulse? you can always put them back in if there is a problem, but I have not had a problem after removing pulse.
