Remote control of Boxee Box
Very nice iPad app with some cool features, but unless I'm missing something terribly obvious there is no interface direct with the Boxee Box local library ?
Is there any chance in the future to add Boxee Box support to the app like how XBMC can be controlled with apps like XBMC Commander which displays all the media listings of XBMC not just library items but file sources too.
Thanks for the Airplay support too by the way, good job.

Yes, I'd also vote for a connection between boxee on iPad and boxee running on pc/mac/box, especially something like start watching on mac/box, then finish watching on iPad, and the boxees knowing where you've paused the movie.
That's my household's most common use case.

Call me stupid, but i really thought there would be remote features in the app. As a boxee box user, the app is quite useless in my opinion. Actually, i find it dissapointing. :-(

I agree, should have a boxee remote built into this app. just common sense.

Yes for me the app is quite useless also. No remote and no direct connection to boxee box
so yes its dissapointing !!!!
Hope the new version wil have direct connection to the boxee box without some kind of Boxee Manager on a computer.

I just hate how when I send a move to play on the boxee I can't stop it in the app. I should have full control over what is playing if I sent it from the ipad. Like airplay does. It gives you all the controls of the app as if you were watching it on the ipad. Boxee really really needs to implement this ASAP as this new app is useless without it.

All I want to do is have the Boxee interface on my iPad but have it control the actual Boxee Box. So I can search for music or videos and get them playing on the TV via Boxee Box. Is that too much to ask?
XBMC has been able to do this "forever".

Well I do think it would be an excellent feature and if XMBC has in fact been able to do this "forever" it might not be that hard to implement. However, in regard to the iPad app being "useless" without the remote feature, I beg to differ.
Excellent for laid back online content watching as well as watching video files from your computer (once I get it working

+1 to the remote idea
I use an app on my phone to control Boxee (Rowmote Pro) and it works VERY well (used it for years). However I agree 100% that the Boxee app should have remote control features.
