Seems the boxee box(s) think they are only things on the wire and dont play nice with others!
I have issues with this too. There have been reports of BB's causing HP printers to reboot. I have a little device that tracks wattage drawn by various electronics in my home, and power use for my router and home server are much higher (and physically hotter) when the BB is on. Packet sniffer shows that it's constantly spamming the network with SMB fragments.

I've also had issues with the way it constantly sets up and tears down SMB connections causing my Windows Home Server to lock out my account.

I've not noticed any issues with my three boxes on my Network., But I also have a round seventy devices on my network too.

I do have an old HP phoot inkjet printer that sometimes turns on for no reason. I have no idea if the Boxee Box is the reason for it. But I haven't used it to print in several years since I got a single pass color laser printer.

I hope you have solar and are off the grid. I don't see why you'd have any devices on your network if you have no intention to use them. 70 is up there. Is this a braggart stat, or?

It's how many devices I use on my network. Most are either used 24/7 or are used every day, but some are only used once or twice a week and some are only used once a month or so. After I go a while without using something I'll eventually take it off my network. For instance my VUDU BX100 boxes. I've had them since early 2008 and used to use them alot until this year. But I have not used them now since mid Spring. I just unplugged all three of them although I haven't removed them yet.

1/7th of the devices on my network are IP cameras, then I have multiple NAS devices, servers, as well as multiple TiVos. Except for my three servers all those are run 24/7. So that accounts for around One third of everything. I've been monitoring and cutting my power usage as much as I can. I used to run my servers 24/7 as well but now I only run them around 6 hours a day.

Unsure..but does WHS limit the number tcp connection like XP?
If so..you may want to look up a way to increase the connection count.

    To make a point:
My media sharing is mainly on an XP box. But..if i recall, many moons ago I applied the tcpip.sys hack to increase connections for BT stuff.
(Mind you...this particular machine is a jacked up single core P4 Prescot with gobs of storage that was relegated to media server duty after I built a new OC'd box running at 4.2GHz. So now..this xp box just sits in the corner doing its thing. I rarely have to troubleshoot it because its been tweaked and peeked over the years.)

So when is there a fix comming for the constant buffering of local media?
I`m getting a bit tired of copying movies to a external hdd everytime a want to see a film.
Even 700MB avi`s buffer constantly. (this never happened before this FM)

The Watch Later bookmarklet is not working with the new YouTube interface.

When using http://www.youtube.com/cosmicpanda clicking on the bookmarklet will not open the Watch Later 'dialog' nor put it on the Watch Later list. I seem to have no problem at all when using the regular YouTube interface. Anyone knows what is causing this?

You might want to report that via http://jira.boxee.tv so the devs can look into it.

You can also find out how to Get Help or read the Boxee TV and Boxee Box Documentation.
