    Solve!!

    On lion:
i create an user (only share). After, just add this user on share directory network via samba with read and write permissions

    On boxee:
network > smb client > i add this user with the same password.

Checked for update last night on my box and it said I had the latest update at 19250. Maybe its a good thing my Boxee doesn't want to update. I haven't blocked it yet

    anyone?
Odd. Installed Lion last night (was waiting for the officially Boxee update, before making the jump) and although my BB hasn't been updated to 1.2, yet - I was able to access the hard drive connected to it from my iMac running Lion via SMB. I thought Lion and Boxee Box were incompatible with 1.1 or is that issue limited to sharing files from the Mac itself?

Yes, I am running it on V1. However if you really want to play videos on your IPAD, I wouldn't recommend doing it this way. I would recommend the Fusion Stream app for the ipad which supports UPNP browsing/playback. All my files are m4v so no transcoding required.

Cool - I can now use "Airfoil for Windows" to push audio to the Box from any of my PCs, which see the box as if it was running "Airfoil Speakers". No Apple stuff required.

Bummer - UPnP audio menu traversing is now very sluggish (a bug introduced in the release candidates and not fixed). Please could that be looked at? It was always very responsive before. Anyone know if there's a bug already filed for that?

Since I updated the firmware, I've switched to using AFP for my NAS and the USB HD attached to the NAS, as it seems to stream my higher bitrate files better than SMB, at least from the files I've compared. On two occasions so far, the files on the USB drive have become unable to be found on the Boxee after a relatively short, but undetermined amount of time, while the NAS continues to function properly. Both times, restarting the Boxee made the shares from the USB drive show up again. Any ideas what could be causing this?

It can take several days for it to make to everyone. You can either wait for the prompt to update or manually update yourself.

I can't get Asset UPnP to even show up on my Boxee Box... (or the one from Windows/WHS either).

I don't recall seeing a bug for slow browsing but SMB browsing is supper slow for folders with a good amount of files in it too.
