Default Weird Issue with video files on Boxee's attached HD and OSX.

I have this weird issue that occassionally happens with some video files that are moved to the external HD attached to the boxee. In OSX, it grays them out as if I was moving the file into the folder and it won't let me play them in VLC or MPlayer, even though Boxee plays them fine.

I've tried deleting the file and re-adding it to the hard drive and it didn't help. Does anyone know why this is happening?

    Here's a pic:

    Any ideas?

That is weird. Don't know if it will work, but have you tried repairing the drive or repairing your permissions with the OS X Disk Utility? You will probably need to connect the drive to your Mac to do it. It usually works for me when I experience oddities with my internal and external drives.
