See the stickies at the top of the forum - either you need to update the BBox to the RC or you need to make some adjustments to Lion, your call...

I have updated my mac to the new Lion and since then I cannot read any files.
I tried everything. I can see the list of the files in the directory on the boxee box but I cannot play any.
I tried to remove the directory, to play with share files set up....nothing works
    Can boxes find a solution?

Default Unable to play files on SMB Network shares after lion upgrade

I'm unable to play files on a SMB network share after upgrading my file server to mac osx lion. I read somewhere that Lion disabled SMB v1.0 and now only supports 2.0. I don't see where to configure this on the boxee side to force it. Anyone know? Anyone else have a problem playing files from network shares after a lion upgrade? Thanks!

You need to update the boxee box with the new RC (release candidate) firmware -- I recommend the first of the two -- see the stickies in this section of the forum.

Thanks for the reply. Just curious. But I looked at the "Bugs fixed" and don't really see the error i'm seeing when playing files via SMB. Is it there, but just not listed as a bug fix? Thanks again!

Boxee aside, I *strongly* recommend not installing Lion until Apple release the first revision, 10.7.1 - I expect it should come relatively quickly and will fix many issues currently facing early adopters.
Manta TR1 IR Receiver for Boxee and HTPC - Use your Universal Remote with Boxee Box or XBMC HTPC, including Raspberry Pi
Also for Windows, Linux & Mac OS X: Windows Media Center, SageTV, JRiver Media Center, MediaPortal, XBMC, Plex, MythTV, etc.
