Boxee on OS X Lion - any issues?
I see a few threads discussing SMB shares from OS X Lion to a Boxee Box, but nothing about running Boxee on a Lion Mac.
Has anyone tested it yet? I would like to know it’s working okay before I upgrade, since Boxee is my main use of the machine …

I don’t use any SMB shares, so that doesn’t worry me.
If the current version runs okay on Lion apart from that, I’m good to go.

I am currently having the same difficulties accessing SMB with Boxee after upgrading to the new Lion OS. I am hoping this is sorted out soon because I am a huge fan of Boxee and use it frequently.

Aside from the two known issues (SMB sharing and Screen Sharing, mentioned here), Boxee seems to be running fine on Lion for me so far. No discernible change from running it on Snow Leopard.
Bumping up my Mac Mini’s RAM from 1GB to 8GB has made things a lot snappier, though! Finally, the YouTube app opens videos in a matter of seconds rather than minutes.

I can only add to cacophony of people having issues with Boxee and Lion. I am running Lion on my iMac with folder sharing (SMB) to which I use a windows vista laptop with Boxee installed to stream from my iMac's "movie" folder. I cannot access my files at all. When I check to see what folders are synced into my Boxee library theres an ugle "disconnected" message next to each one. I have gone through every check and cannot resolve this sharing issue

There is an issue with audio via optical output in Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Lion 10.7. Stereo audio cuts out after playing 5.1 channel content. Apple is aware of the problem.
While this problem is not specific to Boxee (it affects everything) it does mean constant restarts are required. More info:

Boxee on ATV 'disconnected'
I don't run Boxee on my iMac, just on my ATV, and have just upgraded OSX to Lion. Boxee on ATV worked fine getting files from my Snow Leopard iMac, but now it is 'disconnected' from all sources. Have tried everything (well, everything I know) to try and resolve but still disconnected. Anyone, please, know how to solve this so that my ATV becomes useful again!

My setup:
Mac 1 with osx lion has my SMB shares
Mac 2 with os x lion Boxee
I just mounted my SMB shares to a local directory on my Mac 2 using mount commands then in Boxee added the local directory as a media source and it works fine. This way, I bypass using SMB directly but I'm still able access my SMB files.
