connection refused
Trying to access files on my laptop(windows 7).....gets to the point to scan .WORKGROUP(Samba)...connection refused....pulled up windows explorer and I see Boxeebox listed but when I click on it , it shows a blank page...shouldn't show something ...maybe I'm off in the totally wrong direction..I got this thing to stream instead of my Xbox..and so far it's Very frustrating.

turn of firewall/anti-virus if you have it for testing. If your using SMB and not UPnP make sure the windows account you connecting to has a password. So on your laptop set a password for your account and then try accessing via samba with the username and password.
If this works there was another thread with the same issues few days back that i commented on that will show you how to have your laptop automatically login using the password you set.

I have disabled both firewall and antivirus and my windows account is password protected....but when I try to find the files I get connection refused...no prompt for ID or password.....puzzles me why in windows explorer it shows Boxee under the network settings.......but when I look at the mapped network it's not included....I got this thing mainly for streaming but I'm second guessing my self now ....never had this much trouble adding anything to my network before (Xbox , Wii , printers ,scanners , etc )
