    Hi,

You can only see your own art when browsing your collection via browse.
Boxee does not use custom covers for the time being. This issue has been reported before. Please search the forum next time

Try naming it folder.jpg instead of cover.jpg

keep in mind, this only works in browse mode, not in the 'movies' section of boxee.

i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.

what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.

why just take the code from xbmc ? it's a pretty important feature to make it all look better ?

actually i really don't understand this:
if boxee is build to be the best mediacenter, and from the same dev. as from xbmc..... why are simple GREAT festures like this one missing from the start ?

    i don't get it.
look at the system settings from xbmc and then look at boxee's system settings.... everything is still missing.......almost..

this is ment to be constructive.

boxee is not xbmc... and it's not meant to be 'xbmc pro'... boxee is a 'social media center'.

if boxee defaults to 'local' art/metadata, it kills the 'social' part.

Totally agree to this :why just take the code from xbmc ? it's a pretty important feature to make it all look better ?
    This problem drives me insane!
Cant be to hard to make it would be possible and then just let the use choose what they want to use?!

The developers are already aware of this issue and it is being worked on for an upcoming release. Boxee is a social media center that does make use of a lot of xbmc code as a base. The developers aren't going to just throw every feature into boxee.

Some things like folder art are redone for boxee to make them more "social" which breaks older xbmc functionality. This is only temporary as the developers have a lot on their plates and can't be doing everything at once (even though they are quite amazing).

    With that said, topic closed.
