Hi there,
Radio Time app was working a while ago but now most streams give a "This stream is not compatible with this player" error message.
Hi there,

That app relies on the radiotime.com website which has been revamped to http://tunein.com/ -- my guess is that most if not all the feeds the app references no longer exist.
How does the tunin.com site look via the browser? That might be an alternative.

There's a new TuneIn.com app available now. It looks prettier than the RadioTime app, but doesn't actually work quite as well. Unfortunately, there's no full screen visualizations and it doesn't list the artist and song title playing for some of the stations. These same stations show that information fine in the RadioTime app, so hopefully it's a problem they'll address at some point.
Miraculously, the preset folders (about which I complained over 4 moths ago, see http://forums.boxee.tv/showthread.ph...ight=radiotime and http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-8946) work with this app.
It seems even possible adding presets directly from the app (though doing it via the website is still easier).

This is fantastic guys, thanks for the heads up on that! I would never have found that app even though I searched Boxee for 'radio' and all sorts of derivatives. My dad will be ecstatic!
I'm a web radio freak... unfortunately, there are a zillion reasons why a given station is not listenable in a person's location. I usually check on my laptop (Radiotime/Tunein give a xx% reliable for most users rating). When I test-listen to a station (and if I like it) I add it to one of the preset folders (which, thankfully, seem to work in the new app). Having more than a few dozen stations in one folder is just unwieldy![]()
the new TuneIn.com app seems not working properly while none of stations I used to listen from RadioTime app works...
anyone encounters same problem?
I've noticed that e.g. stations streaming in ACC don't work on BB (at least when using the Tunein app). They do work on Windows.
In fact, I've rarely encountered Tunein streams that don't work on Windows (apart from those which are regionally challenged). A lot of them don't work on BB (haven't really followed up why).
So far every station I listen to in Chicago works pretty flawless. Whats interesting though is that when tunein first rereleased the app the audio redirected into a fullscreen virtualization. Then for some reason they changed it to its current form. I dont know why, but anyways most of the streams are the same one's from the iPhone app. If it works in the iPhone than it should work on the box. If it isnt the case a trip to tunein.com may be in order.
