Eventghost could sometimes be finicky for me and needed a lot of up front configuration to do all the things I wanted it to do. It is a great piece of software but I stopped using it once I got my Flirc. Flirc is amazingly simple. Once you program it, it is just a keyboard to the PC and can be moved to another PC without installing anything. In fact the software is only used to program it. It will be the best $25 you spend on your HTPC; trust me.
