    boxee does not work on directfb... there is nothing you can do to resolve this.

    unless you are willing to port sdl/xbmc to directfb, that is.

    i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.

    what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.

    @agentlame, I think you are confusing "Neuros OSD/OSD2" (which is ARM/DirectFB based) with the new "Neuros LINK" which is based on a standard x86 computer motherboard and uses OpenGL graphics just like Boxee.

    @fishie, if you can get XBMC running the Boxee should also run file, follow:

    and also checkout:

    Good luck

    Have you followed other bits of the Ubuntu faq? Like for instance did you turn off any Compiz (ie fancy) ui stuff? System->Preferences->Appearance->Visual Effects == None . Is it in fact running opengl?

    Wow these boxes are looking really cool (http://www.neurostechnology.com/neuros-link)... check this out: http://www.thinkgeek.com/electronics...tainment/b4ba/

    * Make the Link work with Netflix - $2500
    * Enable Move Networks Plug-in - $2500
    * Get iTunes running on the Link - $750
    * Create Wireless Networking Configuration Wizard - $750

    Has anyone gotten Boxee goin on one of these units? Please share your experience and thoughts!

    Peace,

    Default Yes I have Boxee running on a Neuros Link

    I have Boxee running on the Neuros Link for about three weeks now. I'm not using the TV remote but the Keyboard remote for the Link works fine. I'm running the video HDMI out to my Vizio 42" plasma and it looks good. It's a wireless connection with only 2 bars but seem ok. I mainly watch tech shows, Cranky Geeks, Loaded, and Geek Brief now that Hulu is gone.

    Just a followup, I now have Boxee running with my remote and I have sound working through HDMI. I removed Fire Fox from the session list and added Boxee.
