    Default Remove/delete Apps

First, let me say I have been following this forum for a while. Finally decided to purchase the Boxee Box and received it a few days ago. I'm loving it!

Now, I'm not a sophisticated user. Enjoying Netflix, some other apps, and local files. But I can't figure out how to delete apps that I don't want. I understand how to do it with the downloadable boxee software, but how do I delete apps in the Boxee Box?

Thanks everyone for any help you can offer.

make the applications you like "favorites" then only view the "favortites" when viewing the applications.

What you want to do is two things:

    1) Add only the apps you want to your Favorites.
    2) Set up Boxee so that when you click on Apps on the home screen, it goes right to your Favorite apps.

To add an app to your favorites, navigate to the All Apps screen, click on the app, then navigate to the star/+ in the upper right of the launch pop-up. This adds it to your favorites right then.

To set the default action of the Apps icon on the Home Screen to be the Favorite Apps screen, go to Settings >> General >> Menu and for Apps, select Favorite.

Thanks everyone. If I read between the lines the answer is you CAN'T delete apps? Only select favorites and then display favorites by default? Interesting...

    Correct.

Think of the All Apps as "the store". You can't delete items from the store (in case you want to use/download them later).

What if you have an app you always use that causes problems and you want to uninstall it so you can reinstall to see if that fixes the problem?

I got an app update that breaks the app for some but not all people and I want to see if something went wrong with installation or the updated app is really broken.

The only way I've found to force the box to explicitly redownload the app is to go through a Favorite/Unfavorite/Favorite cycle. This will force the app to download again (solved an issue in the past that I had with broken mediafly apps).

If the app is already a Favorite, the Unfavorite/Favorite part should suffice.
