Plugin creation

Hi all,

Congrads on Boxee. Great piece of software.

I have a question, and would like to create a plugin proof of concept. But as I investigate and see examples, most (or all) plugins for XBMC/Boxee are in python.

aTV doesn't have python by default... It does have perl. I also am well versed in perl.

So can a plugin be done in perl? or must it be python?

Also, where is the best place to see if I can find documentation for plugin creation?

boxee has a python interpreter embedded in it's application bundle... that said, no you can not write a plugin in perl, only python, as python is actually part of the core application. (hulu, youtube, etc... all written in python.)
