Hey, listen I had the same problem for a couple of movies, but then I found that site that darlicious was talking about. I downloaded one of them (remember you have to search for the exact one), named it the same as my movie file put it in the correct movie folder. Then when selecting on the MOVIE file, click up then go right and look for "Identify" (should be a magnifying glass). Then it should bring up a message saying whether you want to identify using the NFO file or manually. Select the NFO file option and voila. Hope this is a bit clearer.

That literally has nothing to do with this problem, since I have a Mac and I have harddrives connected on both, the computer and Boxee. .NFO files work both ways he just didn't quite understand on how you get it identified by the NFO file.

The point is: i do what you describe. I click the magnifying glass, but i have no options then: i'm directed to an input screen where i can type the name of the movie (which is often displayed already) and there is no way to select the nfo file.
Example: Essential Killing. The BB does find a reference to that movie (Essential Killing 2010) but there is no cover attached to the info. And as said, I cannot opt to use the nfo file.

I have a similar issue in that cover art seems to come and go. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not. Frustrating.

    Default Solved!!

Problem solved:-)!!! My mistake was the identical names of the nfo and the movie file. Thought was doing it right, but there was one character different.
Thanks a lot, all of you. Really supportive!!
