Thread: episodedetails worked, now it does not

  1. #1

    Default episodedetails worked, now it does not

    Having a problem (again) with a single episode of Murder She Wrote falling under 'Unidentified Videos' (S06E16).

    Had the same problem last week, tossed a show.nfo in the seasons dir along with an episode.nfo for just that episode and it worked fine. I just renamed the shows folder (originally there was an underscore between the words, i just replaced that with a period), rescanned and now i can not get S06E16 to scrape correctly, it falls under 'Unidentified Videos'.

    dir structure:
    Code:
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/

    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/Murder.She.Wrote.nfo
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.avi
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.nfo
    When i had the problem last week, the above worked, now it does not. Ive tried the show.nfo in both the /S06/ dir and also only in the parent /Murder.She.Wrote/ dir. No matter what, when trying to identify, i receive the "Manual Reslove - Unable to match title type (TV/Movie) to video. Choose a different title." message.

    Murder.She.Wrote.nfo contents (tried both imdb_id (tt0086765) and thetvdb id (78049) - last week the imdb id did the trick).
    Code:
    <tvshow>
      <title>Murder She Wrote</title>
    <plot>Mystery writer finds herself investigating murders that occur around her.</plot>
      <id>78049</id>
    </tvshow>
    Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.nfo contents
    Last week, i also included an id-tag with the imdb id for the show, and it worked.
    Code:
    <episodedetails>
       <title>The Big Show of 1965</title>
       <season>6</season>
       <episode>16</episode>
       <plot>Murder occurs at the reunion of a variety show, site of a similar crime 25 years earlier. </plot>
       <aired>1990-02-25</aired>
    </episodedetails>

    Any suggestions would be great.

    This seems to be an issue just now. I'm working with Marcel (from Boxee) to get it resolved.

    Ok, thanks for the heads up.
    Gonna change the nfo files back to how they worked last week and give it a shot later on today.

    By all accounts, using the <id> as you have set up originally should work.

    If you can't get it to work today, please enable debug logging and submit a bug report at http://jira.boxee.tv and attach the log file (don't use the "send to boxee" link but download by right-clicking on the log link and using Save as...)

    Thanks for getting back to me guys (and sorry for the late responce).
    Tried the following (4 scenarios) and still receive "Manual Reslove - Unable to match title type (TV/Movie) to video. Choose a different title."

    Folder structure:
    Code:
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.avi
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.nfo
    1) Only 'episodedetails' nfo in /S06/ dir
    2) 'episodedetails' and 'tvshow' nfo's in /S06/ dir
    3) 'episodedetails' in /S06/ and 'tvshow' in /Murder.She.Wrote/'
    4) 'episodedetails' and 'tvshow' nfo's in /S06/ dir and a second 'tvshow' in /Murder.She.Wrote/'

    Same result with every thing.

    Murder.She.Wrote.nfo
    Code:
    <tvshow>
      <title>Murder She Wrote</title>
      <id>tt0086765</id>
    <plot>Mystery writer finds herself investigating murders that occur around her.</plot>
    </tvshow>
    Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.nfo
    Code:
    <episodedetails>
       <title>The Big Show of 1965</title>
       <id>tt0086765</id>
       <season>6</season>
       <episode>16</episode>
       <plot>Murder occurs at the reunion of a variety show, site of a similar crime 25 years earlier. </plot>
       <aired>1990-02-25</aired>
    </episodedetails>

    Tests where run about 10-15mins before i created this post.

    [edit]
    gonna debug now, will send off logs in a bit.

    In case someone else comes across this, here are some notes from the issue ticket.

    Regarding NFO in general, please follow the instructions of how to create nfo and naming convention in this link: http://support.boxee.tv/entries/5102...ng-an-nfo-file

    Please let me know that the issue is resolved and I will close the ticket.

    Thanks.

    The first entry (the original) has all the seasons and episodes listed (except for s06e16).
    The second entry has only season 6 and only episode 16.

    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/tvshow.nfo
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.avi
    /TV/shows/Murder.She.Wrote/S06/Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.nfo

    nfo files contain same info as stated in the thread links above.

    [EDIT]
    Note; the same results with build 1.1.1.19092 and the current release (yesterday - sorry don't know the build number right now).

    Removing the title tag from tvshow.nfo and "nfo identifying" causes the "Title Match Error".
    Placing the title tag above or below the ID tag does not change anything.

    What ever title is in the tvshow.nfo file is what Boxxe uses. If i changed the title to "Fake Test", that will be the name of the show E16 will be listed under.

    tvshow.nfo
    <tvshow>
    <title>Murder, She Wrote</title>
    <id>78049</id>
    <plot>Mystery writer finds herself investigating murders that occur around her.</plot>
    </tvshow>

    Murder.She.Wrote.S06E16.The.Big.Show.of.1965.nfo
    <episodedetails>
    <title>The Big Show of 1965</title>
    <id>78049</id>
    <season>6</season>
    <episode>16</episode>
    <plot>Murder occurs at the reunion of a variety show, site of a similar crime 25 years earlier. </plot>
    <aired>1990-02-25</aired>
    </episodedetails>

    =========================================
    Manual identifying - skipping the nfo file and using the built-in search worked.
    1) Selected episode file
    2) Identify
    3) Select Manual
    3) Search 'Murder She Wrote'
    4) Selected 'Murder, She Wrote (1984) (TV)' from the search results
    5) Done (Season 6 and Episode 16 was already filled in).

    Now its listed correctly, but as you can see, there still a bug with the nfo identifying.
