    Default Add Winamp to Boxee

    It would be great if they could add Winamp to the Boxee. Has there been talk by Boxee to add this?

    If Boxee's music player were fully functional, I'm wondering what purpose winamp would serve?

    winamp is a media player. Boxee is a media player.

    Media player within a media player?
    Boxee Box > HDMI > HDTV
    2 x HTPC (boxee 0.9) > HDMI > HDTV

    winamp has a service api for the boxee to tune into a computer and feed from it's database.

    They've made an android app, so presumably it's possible. But pretty pointless.

    I'm pretty sure when AOL bought WinAmp outright, they disabled the API for ShoutCast entirely. Winamp is pretty sweet I agree, but that would require bringing AOL on board with Team Boxee in a business dealing... last time I checked, Ted Turner is still regretting bringing AOL aboard Time Warner, lol!

    Thanks. I really love the cool visualizations with Winamp and the ability to use Shuffle All for your music library.
