    Default Plexapp for Boxee

I would like to see a Plex App on the Boxee Box to be able to use my Plex Media server. I'm quite impressed with the Boxee Box and enjoy its many features but it would be great to access my plex media with metadata etc. Plex seems more advanced at the moment in terms of flexibility for organizing local media files and metadata.

Failing this, then i would like to see more options to personalize the home screen and add more sections.... now I have Movies, Tv Shows.... it would be great to add KidsTV, Documentaries, or even different movie sections... I'm not sure how this could be implemented or if it's possible?

I doubt this'll ever happen. You basically asked to have Plex (a boxee competitor on the software front) make an app for the boxee hardware.

When it sounds like you spent all this time making Plex perfect, then bought a boxee box for some reason (perhaps it was cheaper then a small htpc or mini).

Sounds like you should've bought a used / gen 1 apple TV, flashed it (thus added plex, or xbmc (which plex is based off of) and used that to your hearts content.

Boxee is nice, and I agree Plex has more technical nerdy things in it's UI, but they're competitors. Boxee is going after the mainstream. Plex after ease of use for nerds and their families.

I disagree, now that Plex has partnered with LG they are trying to get their Media Server on new clients. They are npoty simply a nerdy comparison to XBMC...they are their own software with commercial plans (maybe not as big as boxee, but who knows?) Plex software is now shipped in new LG Smart TV's, is available for iOS, Android, and on the Roku box (there is a rumor that it will be released on the WDTV also). I see no reason why a Plex Media Server application couldn't be build for the boxee box...it's just another client for the awesome Plex

I would actually love this, because I like the boxee UI better, and the social networking aspects better than Plex, but I prefer Plex's library system/metadata. The right app could give the best of both worlds!

I'm not sure where Plex is heading. They are on the Roku box now, so they could make a Boxee Box version. Time will tell.
