File types for boxee
Hi i'm just about to get started putting my many DVDs and Blu-rays onto a media server, I'd like some advice as to what programs you guys use to rip your discs to your servers. I understand that Boxee has no problems reading and playing ISO files but do they need the copy protection (Macrovision etc.) removing before it will play them?

Yes, copy protection will need to be removed for both DVDs and BluRays. Most people use DVDFab, AnyDVD, DVDDecrypter, etc.
If you want to compress them (encode), see the guide in my sig.
