    Here's what I did

    c. Click on advanced under Permission for SYSTEM.
    d. Below the option change permissions place a checkmark next to Include inheritable permissions from this objects parent.

    Plus there is an EXTRA check box allowing to override and child permissions. This WAS NOT checked.

    Ah, that makes perfect sense. The only odd thing is that Windows normally enables that option by default.

    Agreed - that's probably why myself and few others took it for granted that it was enabled
