Wow ok strange though......same set up as you hdmi going straight to TV as well.... and I am still detecting a volume difference with firmware 1.1.0.19036 and 1.1.1.19092 as compared to the 1.04 version. My TV volume has to go all the way to max. Thanks for your reply though....

I upgraded today and I am well pleased. Pretty much is everything is working well if not better than it had previously. I use my boxee for online content but I'll have to try using my files one of these days.

There is only one issue that I've seen with the update and I have one suggestion...

Issue - NBC files appear to be no longer compatible with this release. I'd watched NBC today prior to updating my box - so I'm sure it was the release. USA Network appears fine though.

Suggestion - Parental control...I absolutely love that we can now view browser history - I would love it if there was a parental control option around cleaning out the history. This may not be something the masses would want; however we try to monitor very closely what is accessed in my family and I would love it if the kids couldn't just wipe out what they don't want us to see.

    All in all...very satisfied.

    Thanks!

It could be argued that if it weren't for some peoples desire to make things better we could still be living in the stone age, not to mention that we paid for this box and only expect it to do what was advertised, i don't like not getting what I paid for, imagine that. It's difficult to understand the weakness that leads people to be bothered by those that demand better, just what makes you think that the 2 channel sound issue would have been fixed so quickly? Maybe we should have just held out our collective hands and asked 'please sir, can we have some more' of these screw ups?

I am very happy to see that problem fixed and very glad to have been one of those that demanded it be done right away.

    Thumbs up

Well, after having listened to it for a few hours now - it seems the pops in the sound (which the previous version of the firmware introduced) are GONE.

    So that's great.

Yeah that's why I said it's a "little" complaint, stop being a wanker and grow up.

I viewed it more as feedback than a complaint, even with your "complaint" preface. Personally, I'd just as soon not have the pause symbol at all. For a few releases it was just the paused video with no symbols or timeline displayed; I thought that was perfect. If I pause the video, I'm not likely to forget and find myself wondering why everything has stopped moving.

(And to those who say turn the volume up on the TV - my TV is slow to increase or decrease volume, and i frequently forget its cranked all up so when i turn it on the next day the volume blows me out the window it being so loud compared to other sources)
That sounds familliar... have you ever been on v1.0.3?

I've gone back to 1.0.3 just to get even sound levels from AC3:
