Box will not shutdown

I posted in the 1.1 forum but this seems to have been passed over, so I'm creating new post:

Boxee won't shutdown

I was told to provide logs.

I changed error log to debug on boxee box.

I go to http://boxeebox:8080 and page loads. No logs present (after I cleared the old ones from a few days ago)

I press get latest. Page reloads. Nothing appears under either log section.

Please advise.

My BB does not shut down either

You can either shut the boxee down vi the remote OR via the button. If shutting it off via the button doesnt work, then you may have a defective Boxee box. In order for thelogs to work you do need to reboot the Boxee box after making teh setting change (from what I have read)...

I can shutdown via button, not from remote. That hangs indefinitely.

How do you reboot? Is that the same as shutdown?

If so, I've done that and still no logs have been produced.

I haven't.
Been working with support to get them my logs but no luck yet.

I've not been able to use the remote for shutdown either since the last update(s). It hangs the box. But in my case it's no big deal as the box itself is easy to reach. Still, should be fixed.

Weird I had the same for maybe the first 3 shut downs ... then I started using the button on BB... forgot the other day and the remote is working again... I know it doesn't help, but it might give you hope it may start working again on its own.

Since the 1.1 update my BB has been hanging on shutdown, too. It happens about 50% of the time and it will hang for as long as 3 minutes before finally shutting down.

hi, please submit a ticket to the support, i got a ticket about it but it will help if there are more logs and info.
