Default Boxee Box not tagging Unidentified Files.. help!

im using TVersity Media Server to share media with Boxee, finally got ALL my movie files & formats to watch, but im having problems tagging the video files to its cover & synopsis like Boxee claims it will. im in Settings>Source>Unidentified files>displays entire list of videos. I did have my file named.. ex. 300.avi & im able to find cover & synopsis. it asks to click either.. Done ; Back ; Add Parts .. So I assumed Done would do it. but no. went to add parts. doesnt really give me the option to do anything. i dont quite understand that. but am i missing something? help would be much appreciated..

So is this a UPnP connection? If so, I think there are still issues with getting Boxee to identify videos this way. You'd be much better off using samba (SMB). Also, movies with just or starting with numbers in the title are problematic. You might want to try something other "300".

it is. I cannot get SMB to recognizes any file sharing. only detects 3 files if I set the main source of my PC with all the folder directories on it. dont know how to troubleshoot that. ive tried disabling my firewall & so forth but does not want to detect the files. the 300 was an example. I also did 28.weeks.later.avi and black.swan.avi. the thing is, if I can view it via the search and find the correct info for movie, shouldnt that tag the movie by clicking done.

Like I said, UPnP connections aren't very stable at the moment. 28 Weeks Later would be another movie title that starts with a number, also a problem as I mentioned.

Not sure why Black Swan isn't working other than you're doing it over UPnP... and I have never seen this behavior personally:

So I assumed Done would do it. but no. went to add parts.
I'm guessing the UPnP connection is what is confusing Boxee...

Content on UPnP severs will currently not be scanned/identified. You will have to use SMB.
