Ready to make the move

I am trying to decide if I am going to use Mac or Windows as my HTPC. I would much prefer to use OSX but I find the current hardware is limiting for my needs. Mac Mini is way too pricey for what you get.
I am thinking of building a dedicated machine just for running OSX.
Has anyone been able to get Boxee working correctly on a hackintosh?

i've seen reports that boxee works fine on a hackentosh...

also, keep in mind, boxee runs great on linux... no need to worry about apple shutting you down with an anti-hackentosh update.
