Thread: Amazon On Demand through the browser

Default Amazon On Demand through the browser

I'm wondering if other people have a similar experience. I access AOD through the browser (actually through spotlight which i have as an RSS feed) and if i attempt to fast forward or rewind or accidentally click on the bar forcing the video to jump backwards or forwards it no longer works properly. What will usually happen is that I'll try to bring it make to the right spot in the movie and it will freeze. The audio usually continues but the video freezes or the screen simply turns black. Any thoughts?

I should also add that I then can't get it to play properly by closing the browser and coming back to it. Nothing seems to work except time. Days.

By "everything" does that including power cycling the Box? And turning off the Box, removing removing the power cord, reconnecting and turning the Box back on?

Yup. I've tried that and a factory reset. I think it's a browser issue but i'm not knowledgeable enough to know for sure.

This is the strange part especially after a power cycle / removing power. I would post a bug to http://jira.boxee.tv in your shoes.

I don't think most boxee users are using amazon on demand or even aware that it somewhat works. I've only heard some vague mentions of getting some things to play but with some problems. Probably won't get fixed anytime soon. Hopefully we'll get an amazon vod app at some point though.
