Default Loading Error Failed to Retrieve data

    Hi,
I have looked back through the treads and they don't seem to give an answer to my problem.

    My set up
    BT Homehub
Imac running latest OS X 10.6.7
    Apple TV 1
    Boxee installed latest version

Last week Boxee was working perfectly, I could get into apps and load up iPlayer etc. On Sunday the following message appeared, "Loading error failed to retrieve data, OK" groan!

Well this is the second time that this has happened to me. The last time I rebuild my Apple TV and reinstalled Boxee! However, I'm not prepared to do this every three or four months, I do have a life!!

I checked the Boxee settings and everything still seems the same. Nothing has changed with my router and as far as I can tell nothing has changed radically with my Mac, although, it wasn't on at the time, when Boxee started to misbehave again.

Apple TV seems to working OK and syncing with iTunes. No problems getting onto Youtube etc.

Looking back over the archive of threads, I cannot see a definitive answer for this problem. I don't update my Apple TV, simply because I've had this problem before. Surely there is a simple answer. All I want to be able to do is access iPlayer via Boxee on my Apple TV, nothing more complicated than that.

    Help.

    Default Continuation

Since this morning, I have discovered that I can launch US content (apps), but not UK content! Is Boxee up to something?

Default Can somebody please help me!

    Guys,

I have trawled this forum and I am still at a loss. I have switched hidden files on and off and changed my location. I can get BBC radio but not iplayer. I have the latest installs, I live in the UK and Boxee will not see the iplayer app!!

I can't believe I'm the only one. Someone must know how to fix this? Furthermore if somebody could just tell me how to install the plugin for iplayer into XBMC in simple English and refer to terminal when needed I would much appreciate it. Come on, somebody help!!

Im US based, but you need to download the iplayer zip (DONT UNZIP), then within XBMC Dharma, you install you via System>Addons>Install from zip file.

Obviously you need to have a UK IP address.

Go thru your setting til u find the switch for blocking non local content apps then try again. With this on you only see local region apps. Maybe u got a US boxee box accidentally.

Default Thanks - but this has happened

    Hi,

Thanks for your tips! I am based in the UK and up until Friday everything was working correctly, with iplayer working nicely.

I have checked the regional settings several times and changed them too!

I decided to re-install patchstick as I am unable to get at my Apple TV via Terminal. Every time I in put the ip address, the password frontrow is not recognised.

    Now this has appeared

    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@
@ WARNING: REMOTE HOST IDENTIFICATION HAS CHANGED! @
    @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ @@@@@@@@@
IT IS POSSIBLE THAT SOMEONE IS DOING SOMETHING NASTY!
Someone could be eavesdropping on you right now (man-in-the-middle attack)!
It is also possible that the RSA host key has just been changed.
The fingerprint for the RSA key sent by the remote host is

    Please contact your system administrator.
Add correct host key in /Users/simonleyshon/.ssh/known_hosts to get rid of this message.
    Offending key in /Users/simonleyshon/.ssh/known_hosts:2
RSA host key for 192.168.1.78 has changed and you have requested strict checking.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,

    Simon

    within terminal type the following;

    cd .ssh

    rm known_hosts

Personally its better to edit but this is easier.
