Default MP3 will always stop playing for 20-30 seconds...

I don't know what the issue is here. I have a library of MP3 and it is linked using SAMBA. When I play one, it will play fine for half to 3/4th the length then just stop. If I leave it alone it will finally start again(at the point it left off) after about 20-30 seconds.

I have tried moving the MP3's to another network drive, I have tried unplugging everything from my router except the box and the drive, but nothing works. I have no such issues with videos, they play without a hitch the full length.

HOWEVER, what does work is if I link the drive via uPnP instead pf SAMBA. If I do that, the mp3s play without a hitch.

So for now I have left the music directory connected via uPnP instead of SAMBA.

    Thoughts?

What are the drives you tested this on connected to? What is hosting them? A desktop computer, laptop? Are you connecting them directly to the router via USB?

One is a 1tb HP connected to my Netgear Router WNDR3700(this one is formatted as EXT3 for better speed) and the other is a Seagate Goflex 2tb connected via ethernet.

Both contain all my Blu-Ray and DVD rips and stream those without a hitch(via SAMBA). It's just the mp3s that have issues from either drive via SAMBA. I have 2 boxee boxes and both do that same thing. uPnP works great tho and the mp3s stream without a hitch that way.

Yea that sound slike what I am getting. Since it is currently working with uPnP, I'm not gonna mess with it as it looks like the workaround9seeting debug level to NONE) doesn't always work.
