    Angry DD/DTS Audio Issue

I have a boxee box and a ps3, both hooked up via hdmi to my tv, and optical to my amp.

When i watch xvid with DD/DTS audio, my ps3 outputs it just fine to my amp, but on my boxee box i get no audio at all unless i disable multichannel audio.

The other problem i have, is when i play any other type of file with dd/dts audio, boxee doesnt switch my amp off dd/dts when the file is finished playing or stopped, so i don't get audio again until i manually switch my amp off and back on again.

This doesn't happen on my ps3, when anything with multichannel audio is finished playing, i can hear my amp immediately click back on 2channel and i can hear audio again.

How do you have Boxee set up as far as sound? Do you have "DTS-capable receiver" checked in the options? Are you going over HDMI or SPDIF? Are you disabling multichannel audio on your receiver or in Boxee?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say your receiver "doesn't switch off dts" after playing a DTS file on the Boxee Box. You mean you don't get audio from ANY source or just any non-dts audio from the Boxee Box.

I think we just need a slightly more comprehensive description of the problem you're having.

My boxee box is hooked up with optical to my amp, and it's set up to output Digital ( S/PDIF) only, with DTS/DD capable receiver checked.

Multichannel audio isn't disabled anywhere, and my ps3 is hooked up this exact same way.

If the file is an AVI container with DD/DTS, i get no sound at all.

If the file is an MKV container with DD/DTS i get full multichannel audio.
However when the file is stopped, my amp stays on DD/DTS mode and doesnt switch back, so now 2 channel audio files don't work until i restart my amp.

I think I am having the same issue. Although I haven't tested mkv files. If I switch output from Digital (S/PDIF) only to analog only the dts avi sounds is fine (but is 2 channel obviously).
