Question Why does Boxee not work right with TV Shows

    Hi,

Why does Boxee not work right with TV shows. This is the same for both the desktop version and also the Boxeebox.

For some reason some show up automatically but not others. I go into the Unidentified section and click identify and search. The one I want comes up so I select it and I get

    "Sorry
Unable to bring the movie details"

    My files are named

Dexter S01E01 and Generation Kill S01E01 and the rest of the series files etc this seems to work for others but not some.
I remember an older version of the desktop version used to work fine but the newest releases it doesn't work. Am I identifying TV shows wrong? Do I have to go somewhere else?

    Help!!

    Thanks

You need to replace the spaces in the name with dots(.).

    So

Dexter.S01E01.mkv or whatever the extension is

Not sure. I do know that it will also work if you used underscores(_) in place of the dots(.). I was doing it that way for quite some time(since that is the way anydvd would name them) and it was finding the info fine. I had no idea that you were supposed to use dots

No issues here with Boxee Windows, these both manually identified:

    dexter.s01e01.avi
    generation.kill.s01e01.avi

    I'll check the box next.
