Default FF, REW don't work properly with AppleTV

Something isn't right about the way the Boxee player works with the AppleTV remote when it comes to the FF, REW controls. Is there a right way to FF, REW "chapters" in a movie? Is someone aware of/working on this problem?

    Thanks,
    Ata

I'm watching a movie and my son has been asking me to help him build a plane for 5 minutes. I shoo him away and realize that I've lost the last 5 minutes of this really compelling movie. So I'll try a few things:

    1. Hit REW on the appletv remote. Nothing happens. I'll try #2.
    2. Pause the movie (by pressing twice on the pause button I've noticed). Then I'll cursor over to the left-most icons--they look like "<<<" and "<<". I can sit on either and press the center button on the appletv remote. Occasionally (25% likelihood) the image will change. The progress bar on the bottom will never change. Sometimes (25% likelihood) the spot in the movie will change meaning that if I play from there I'll be at different material than I was when I paused (note that the spot changing is not correlated to the image changing and to the progress bar not changing).
    3. After messing around for a while, I'll give up. I'll find a close enough spot and just play past the parts that I've seen already and hope my son is doing other things!

    Thanks,
    Ata

I've seen the same behavior, both on my ATV and on a MacBook Pro running 10.5.4 (reported here Dec 4 right after the release).

I have the same experience. The FF/REW feature is apparently pretty new to the system, though, so I'm hoping they are ironing out the bugs.

Ditto. Local movies work fine for me too, but Hulu is the wonky one.

hulu is wonky... because it's automated, not native.

boxee literally 'pretends' to sent the hulu flash player a 'mouse click'.

as for other embedded flash players, ff/rew is simply not implemented.

i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.

what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.

Aaaah. Thanks for the info--I appreciate it. Armed with this info I played some games with Boxee yesterday and it still didn't behave as I would have expected.

Can you be more precise about the consumer experience? When exactly is a "click" sent to Hulu? Let's say I want to rewind back 30 sec. What do I have to do? What should I expect to see?

    Thanks,
    Ata
