Just sent Amazon an email requesting Amazon VOD on Boxee Box. Won't hurt if everyone on the boards makes the request, whether they have Prime or not. Strength in numbers for this kinda thing.

If this streaming works in the browser, it's a big step up and potentially an app could be built. The problem with the old streaming service is that you couldn't actually click the "watch now" button to start watching the video...

It's really pointless to compare the Amazon Prime to Netflix and Hulu+, both of which are pay services. Better to compare it to the free Hulu service, which still probably has a better selection, but has lesser video quality and ads. Compared to the free Netflix service, the Amazon Prime streaming service is infinitely better.

Prime user, Boxee Box owner, E-mailed amazon asking for an application to be developed.

Disappointed that Boxee is not on the forefront here. This is their Market. Roku, Samsung, Google Tv, Logitech, etc, these are their competitors.

I sent an email this evening to Amazon and 10 minutes later got this reply:

Thanks for your comments about Amazon Video on Demand and that you would be happier if we could team up with Boxee; to access videos in it too. We'll consider your feedback as we plan further improvements.
