    Who says it will take a year? And if it does, what's to say that the Boxee will be "obsolete" by then? The Intel CE4100 in the boxee is head and shoulders above the chipsets in other streamers and I don't see that changing for quite a while.

    You might be happier with the Netgear 550, because it supports playlists and a lot of the stuff you are asking for. Of course, you can't stream full bitrate BD over SMB and have to set up NFS sharing for that. Ouch.

    It will be obsolete, because I say so. Also it will take exactly one year. VOIP NINJA. I would not be happier with a goshdarn netqueer either, I bought this deformed box and I'm sticking to it. Are most of the people on this board annoying because they're linux/apple users? Yeah I thought so. Why not stay in the non consumer branded dlink boxee box sections of the board? Just a suggestion pal.

    I will also keep posting complaints and I will allow you to post useless nonsense following every one because I'm a cool guy.

    Edit again - Since it looks like the asperger victims won't be adding basic usability features anytime soon, what playlist format does the DLINK Boxeeeee box support for videos, or does it. Don't make me use google, that's effort. I'll manually make a freaking playlist for the video files, that should work until I sell/give this away in exactly one year. Thanks for that helpful suggestion ninJA, oh wait.

    you can use a PLS file to play a playlist of videos.

    PLS format http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PLS_%28file_format%29

    file example:

    [playlist]

    File1=filename.avi
    Title1=file 1
    Length1=-1

    File2=filename.ogv
    Title2=file2
    Length2=-1

    NumberOfEntries=2

    Version=2

    Personal attacks are not warranted, so I would request that you keep it civil.

    And no, I'm not an Apple/Linux Boxee user and I doubt most here are either. I have three Boxee Boxes. As you can see though, a good percentage of users are happy with their boxes. Your priorities might not be the priority for other users. I'm sure far more users want local NFO support, DTS-HD fixed, etc, before worrying about the ability to queue up a playlist of videos.

    Since this is never going to be added according to what's his face, here's a work around for people that actually care about this super insignificant feature that's present on most every other media player.

    http://www.oddgravity.com/app-opc.php - free playlist creator

    Setting one

    Add file types as needed

    Save as *.m3u, .pls won't work for whatever reason.

    It's working with all video files I've tried streaming over my samba network share.

    Edit - the slashes don't really matter, this it what's working, just a super simple file list, saved as .m3u in the same folder as the video files.

    Part 1.mkv
    Part 2.mkv
    Part 3.mkv
    dsf4.mkv
    dfsa5.mkv
    dfasdf.mkv
    dddffdas.mkv

    Not familiar with fancast, voted yes anyway. I'm a loose cannon.

    Fancast has a lot of more popular streaming shows, but the only ones that seem to work right now are shows from CBS.

    Well it will never be fixed. It's really not important at all. Don't hold your breath etc etc.

    What makes you think that Boxee can fix a problem with Fancast? The problem could be on Comcast's end to fix. In fact, Comcast probably doesn't want Boxee users to be able to watch shows from Fancast on their TV anyway.

    It's similar to the lip sync problem with Netflix people are complaining about. While I don't experience the issue with Boxee, I do with my TiVo, other people have the problem with PS3 and X360. Seems that the problem is almost definitely on Netflix end.

    If Boxee was a larger company with more resources and clout (Apple) then they could probably pin someone like Comcast or Netflix down and make them fix their crap.

    But Boxee is tiny, they can complain about some of this stuff but they are at the mercy of content providers to fix things.

    Thought I would put in a plug for the following:

    Switch quality of YouTube videos using Boxee controls
    http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/APP-440

    Due to me not stating I was referring to youtube.com videos its been moved to the apps project from the Boxee project.

    (sorry, I know its off topic)

    Thank you
