Analogue Audio Ouput Very Quiet
.
I have connected the two satellite speakers from the Logitech Z4i directly to the analogue outputs at the back of the boxee.
it works and i can hear it but the audio is very quiet even at full volume.
Is this a settings problem or is the boxee just not designed to output directly to speakers?
and if the latter is true is there any way to amplify the signal with another device to make the speakers louder?
appreciate any help

Hah! No, the speakers need to be connected to an amplifier, which in the case of Logitech satellites is usually located in the subwoofer.
What you need is a simple RCA to headphone (3.5mm) coupler like this that can be obtained cheaply just about anywhere. Radio Shack has them for sure.
Use that to connect the Boxee Box to your subwoofer with a 3.5mm headphone cable (one with lime green ends should have come with your speakers), then connect the speakers to the subwoofer as specified in the manual, and you're good to go.
