Wow, sounds like it got worse... Did you have similar issues running 1.0.4.??? Thats what I liked to know.. from everyone experiencing this issue w/ 1.1 vs 1.0.4..

I thought it would either be completely fixed or no change. My guess is that the small increase comes from a generell increase in all Boxee volumes and not from solving this particular issue.
Would you mind doing a clean install.. I mean reseting your boxee box to original firmware and then updating to 1.1?? I guess its worth a try..

The difference got worse between stereo sources and AC3/surround. The ticket I posted early is only viewable by EA users. Obviously that is not getting as much attention. I made an additional comment on this ticket yesterday.

Edit: While AC3 may have been boosted some...it is barely noticeable. It is like the center channel (dialog) is missing in the downmix. For reference I'm using a Samsung LN32B540 and LN52C530.

CRAP... sounds like I won't be updating 1.1 or there needs to be an easy way to downgrade back 1.0.4.. But I never managed to return 1.0.3 because I couldn't find the firmware for it..

To say the least... I'M NOT AMUSED. they make us wait for 3 months, claim the bug fixes, even closed my jira issue.. (they claim it was fixed with verified on 1.1.0.18527 and now its broken again!!! btw... mrbryan, I guess your on the EA list... could you sign me up...

http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-8327 My issue.. the old one, accessible by ALL.. PLEASE VOTE FOR IT, again...

Strange, on my system the volume is quite a bit louder for the same system setting under the new update. With full BB volume I used to keep my Stereo at about 40 for the sound level I like, now that is way to loud and I have to back it off to 30 to get the same level. Not a problem just strange it is exactly the opposite of what others are dealing with. In settings I have all of the sound options checked. I tried my local files, Navi-X, Netflix, & VUDU as wall as the browser and all of them were the same. I never used the BB volume control as I use a Harmony to control my entire system and now that the 'double click' issue is fixed it is perfect. When I need a keyboard I have a Keytronics mini USB media keyboard that works great.

vtxrider are you using a independent sound system. as the issue is when played through a tv directly.

Positive news... I haven't tried it yet on my system because I'm afraid I will not be able to downgrade 1.0.4 if necessary.. But sounds like its worth a try before starting my revolt...

Yes, I don't use the TV sound as it is crappy. I use a Onkyo TR-SX607 7.1 system and have never had a audio drop out or any audio issue at all.
