Thread: Joox.net

    Post Joox.net

I spend much time on this site, since their content it awesome!

Joox would be illegal if it were based in the US. Joox is probably based in Sweden; this way, it would fall into the same legal loophole that The Pirate Bay falls into, that is, since they only link to illegal material, and don’t actually host the illegal material, it’s legal. Would it be possible to stream from sites like Joox.com?

still wouldn't be legal for a us-based company to playback said media.

a third-party plugin could be made; but there are some technical issues that i wont get into.

i run boxee 0.9.20 on: ubuntu 9.10, windows xp sp3 (virtual machine), windows 7 and a neuros link hacked to all hell.

what super powers does a 'super mod' have? the 'super ban'... that, and laser vision.

Would Boxee support 3rd party add-ons? Similar to Mozilla? Mozilla doesn't need to make the plugin's and they can be distributed elsewhere?

It would help build an even large dev community for boxee as well as offer features that maybe the team hasn't thought of yet?

I realizes since Boxee is still in alpha, a great deal of the dev needs to be done by the team. However, if this rule could at least make it into the framework of the project. Who knows what the fate of this feature could be.
