Default Starting Boxee will not bring up log-in screen

When I start Boxee with 0.9.2908 the screen goes black and nothing happens. Ever. I have to force quit the application using remote log-in (SSH) to quit the application. This happens 98% of the time. I am running Boxee on a 10.5.4 version of OS X on an Intel Mac mini.

    Thumbs down

It seems the screen is only black in full-screen mode. If I switch to windowed mode the screen appears normally.

Switching back to full-screen now yields the "black screen of death" 100% of the time.

very interesting! mac mini is probably the most used/tested platform with boxee, and this is the first report of its kind.

please provide the specs of this mini and what other apps you're running alongside.

    please provide output of ~/Library/Logs/xbmc.log

i also see that Front Row is showing up, while our helper does not. can you try a reboot, and run boxee before anything else?
