Default When will the exclusivity deal between Netflix and Sony end?

I know 1080p video and 5.1 surround sound is not available from Netflix on the Boxee Box because of Netflix's exclusivity deal with Sony. I've Googled around, but I can't find any information about when this deal will end, and hence 1080p video and 5.1 surround sound will be enabled in the Netflix app on the Boxee Box. Does anyone know?

Their is no exclusive deal with Sony. I have the xbox360 and I do get 1080p with double surround from Netflix so please let's end this stupid rumor of an exclusive deal with Sony.

From what I understand, there's no formal exclusivity deal, but Netflix seems to be rolling out 1080p and surround a device at a time. PS3 was first, XBox360 just got it earlier this month, and Roku, Boxee, etc. are coming, with no firm date announced. It's just up to Netflix to update the app and get it rolling.

Edit: Not 100% sure about Xbox. Some people are reporting surround sound, but I don't see anything confirmed.

They just seem to be prioritizing devices with large existing customer bases, which makes sense.

They've already talked about the Boxee app getting frequent updates, so hopefully it won't be too long.

Netflix announced in the last quarter of 2010 that the PS3 was going to be the only device to get their 1080p streaming initially and the news was all over the net. If other devices have gained access to Netflix's 1080p streaming, there'd very likely be *something* on the news sites about it; there isn't, though.

Double surround sound? Sounds like an interconnect problem, to me.
