    Default Videos Too Small

Ubuntu 10.04, Nvidia 8800GT, proprietary drivers installed, latest Adobe Flash installed.

When I open any video it shows as a tiny box in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and there is no way to make the video larger.

Hulu desktop is working perfectly, so I know it can be done.

How do I get Boxee to play videos big enough to actually see them?

Any video? Flash, avi, and mkv? Online and local?

No, just tried a Tekzilla HD video on my local drive, that played fine. I guess it's just flash stuff.

    Ok, so local is fine.

Can you give specific details as to what video you are speaking of? Also, if it's flash, does it do this for all sources: Youtube, crackle, vimeo, aBC, Fancast etc. It could be just one source and not all.

    Tried Tv Show Library:
    --Fringe
    --Big Bang Theory
    --Star Trek Enterprise

    Tried YouTube

After trying these I'm getting a weird video image in the background of all windows, even this one I'm typing in. Can't find any process related to Boxee to close. Will have to reboot.

Just spend the last two hours on Hulu Desktop and it works perfectly. No idea what Boxee's problem is.

I personally don't have a suggestion, but you really can't compare this to how Hulu works.

Sounds like a video driver or flash installation to me. Hopefully one of our resident Linux users has some input on this one.

Default Flash video plays in the upper left and really small

I'm running ubuntu 10.10, I boot directly into boxee. I installed some updates recently and now when I try to play a flash video such as youtube, espn3...it will be up in the upper left corner and very small, not filling the whole screen like it's supposed to. Vimeo will play the audio but I just see black instead of the video.

Anybody else having this issue? I believe "flashplugin-installer" was one of the updates that was installed. Is there a way I can revert to the old flash maybe?

I can confirm this behaviour on Ubuntu 10.04 as well. Further, depending on the source, the picture may be offset; although it occupies the right amount of space, the origin of the picture is displaced (imagine cutting the image once vertically and once horizontally and rearranging the pieces). An update yesterday installed Flash 10.2.

Feel free to vote it up. http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-8239

Can anybody advise how to revert back to the old flash version so I can actually watch things until this gets fixed. Which could be never at the rate they've been updating boxee linux lately.
