Getting HD mp4 to play smoothly in Boxee
Hello Boxee friends
I just now download Boxee and I am very excited to see the many features that it has to offer. The only thin I'm disappointed with is the somewhat stuttering playing of my HD mp4 movie files. These play absolutely flawlessly in Windows Media Center 7 but not so in Boxee. This leads me to believe I have perfectly fine HTPC setup since it's running fine under WMC7 and other players besides Boxee. Does anyone know what I need to do or change or maybe codecs I need to add. Thanks in advance

Boxee supports that file format. Actually very well.
Boxee is dependent upon specific OS and hardware. See first stop link in my sig for minimum hardware. I have everything listed there for a flawless windows setup.
Also, you should supply more details on your setup: OS, CPU, and proper video card specs.

Also, scan this file with MediaInfo Lite and post the results here. I play HD .mp4 files all of the time, but some niche variations of the format can be problematic.
Installing codecs will have no impact as Boxee uses its own internal decoders.
