Lightbulb Screen Capture app for Boxee Box

The BB's limitation of not able to "write" to local storage might be a stumbling block.
Maybe it can use dropbox or something similar.
I am not sure this warrants to be termed as a "built-in" Feature Request.

The intention is to capture screenshots for reporting issues with the BB.
Pictures taken with a Samsung GT-i9000 turned out to have less moire than ones from a Nikon D3x.

Any pointers would be appreciated, well maybe not "Just use your cell phone camera mate" or "Google is your friend"

Is anyone aware of an app or option that writes data to local storage (USB or Network)

I'm not aware of any apps, either. I'm also not sure how useful such an app would be, at least relative to your current needs. You might be able to capture problems that happen early in the processing stage (depending upon where the screenshot app ties in), but problems happening in the output stages won't show up in the screenshot, tho you'll obviously see them on the TV.

You might try experimenting with different zooms, f-stops and shutter speed combinations to eliminate the moire patterns on the Nikon. I've had decent results with longer shutter speeds in the past:

    That's not a TV, it's a window...
