Ubuntu user needing help. (boxee as NAS)

I have used Boxee box for a month now.
I realy like it!

I have cabel network to the computer with ubuntu and win7 (i realy prefer ubuntu) and cabel to the boxee.
When i use sambashare from the computer to let the boxee find files on the computer i don't get any problem at all. Works great!

BUT i bought a USB ext.drive 2 gb wd to have connected to the bb as a NAS.
The USB drive works great to find from the boxee. But in Ubuntu when i find boxee on the network and find it and i put in the "guest" as user and the password i choosed in bb it all don't work. It denies me to access the disk. Any ideas what to do in ubuntu to get it work. It works in win7 directly.
