Default How to recognize TV Shows

Hi, Just wondering do I need to name the files in a specific way in order for them to be recognized as tvshows? Boxee has without any help from me cataloged most of my movies and they appear in the correct place - but not a single TV show has been cataloged either as a movie or TV show. I file tv series' within folders for example Family Guy folder and within that folder season 1, season 2 etc, and then the avi's or mp4 will be in the correct folder. Is it this folder hierarchy that is confusing Boxee? My movies are in a single folder Movies.

I use the series name seperated by periods (.), then season/episode in a "S0XE0X" format followed by the extension.

    For example:
    NCIS.S06E03.avi
    Burn.Notice.S02E09.avi

If you want, you can add the name of the episode after the season/episode, once again seperated by periods
    Example:
    Burn.Notice.S02E03.Trust.Me.avi

There are a few other schemes that work, but this seems to be the best for the system.

I run Boxee on Ubuntu 10.04 PC (2 machines)
I run BoxeeBox and I love it.

That is similar to my naming system. Does this mean that Boxee has trouble negotiating a hierarchical folder system - and that this is at the route of my problem? Do I have to point boxee to each lower level folder?

    Hi

    I am using a mac.

this is the full path for a few examples

    /volumes/drobo/family guy/series 1/Family Guy - 101 - Death.Has.a.Shadow.XviD-SChiZO.mp4

    another type -

    /volumes/drobo/kylexy/season 1/kyle_xy.1x01.pilot.dvdrip_xvid-fov.avi

    or

    /volumes/drobo/reaper/season1/reaper.s01e01.repack.hdtv.xvid-xor

I have all my files named in a bit more "readable" format. I was hoping that boxee would read folder hierarchies but this is not the case.

Is there any option or feature down the line that will allow the files to be read in the folder they are in, other than the file name?
