New German App: Spiegel Online

Ok, folks. I released a new app for all the Spiegel Online video content. It also containts content from the Spiegel TV Magazin. You can find it in my repository boxee.futurepush.com. Have fun with it.

Thanks again, for a new german app. I really like "Der Spiegel" and I am glad you are into developing this app.

Unfortunately, as I ran to start this app on my Boxee Box, I recognized that the video is kind of slowmow, the audio is fine. Resulting in the video playing longer than the audio.

I tested it with 10 stream (news, movies, etc). It happens on all clips.
You can tell it exactly if you watch the news section : "Das wichtigste vom tage", you hear a chime/jingle when the next part of the news is started. Of course the video, due to it's slow motion playback is out of synch.

When I visit the homepage www.spiegel.de/video via the Boxee Box Browser, I can play the videos fine with both medias beeing in sync.

As far as I know you are using Boxee on a "normal pc/mac" not the Boxee Box, right ?

Maybe I have to try to put this into the boxee box help forum.

Wackabi, please try it again and let me know what the result is. I changed the video format from flv(VP6) to mp4(h264). Should have done it right away. Maybe it works now.

I checked again (removed the app from fav, and realoading it, just to be sure) and it works great ! A very short and brief (hiccup) in the beginning (video starts for 0.5 sec, screen goes black, then the video starts), but after that it works flawlessly in perfect sync !

Thank you for this app AND the very quick response ! Now I'm off to watch some spiegel news ...

I am kinda stupid. The "hiccup" I mentioned was due to the fact that checked the "synch refresh rate of screen/video" which resulted in a longer HDMI hanshake, so forget about that.
