Default Boxee box bandwidth is lower than expected (NOT FIXED) - Vote!

Vote it up people - This isn't getting any visibility in the previous "closed" AND not fixed ticket.

    http://jira.boxee.tv/browse/BOXEE-8068

    Additional Test added to ticket:

Pingtest.net results show a larger problem

Laptop Test: 17ms average, Jitter 4 ms average (Line Quality A)
Boxee Box Test: 98ms average, Jitter 21ms average (Line Quality C)

So, something definitely wrong with the NIC driver or ability.

Try connecting wirelessly and changing your channels, it resolved the issue in my case. Some people are saying downgrading to a 720P display solved the issue.

I agree. This doesnt look to be an issue with Boxee. I have a 12 mb/s connection and I get about 11mb/s on Boxee.

    It's not the router.

    Sorry, didn't look closely enough.

Concerning your second answer...I would agree that the browser is not for speed testing, does that mean that the speedtest.net app is using the browser? (I would assume the answer is yes).

That was actually a quote of Ami Ben-David's post on the Jira ticket. The SpeedTest app definitely uses the Boxee Browser.
