Question TV Show Library and Movie Library blank on Pentium

    Hello!

I have 3 Linux computers running Boxee with nearly IDENTICAL software setup (Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64 + some PPAs).

Two of them have relatively modern x86_64 chips (Athlon 64 and Core2 Duo) and one has an older chip (Pentium D - 3.4GHz). All of them have NVidia GT240 based graphics cards with the newest proprietary driver installed. The first two work perfectly.

The Pentium D one just shows a black screen when trying to watch videos from the "TV Show Library" or "Movie Library" (incl. youtube and some other netmedia stuff).

    Everything else seems to work.

Does anyone have any ideas/troubleshooting tips?

FYI: I used to have even MORE problems with this same computer on Boxee before I upgraded the processor. I used to have a Pentium 4 which was one of the VERY first to implement x86_64 and a missing instruction implementation caused Flash to misbehave. I wonder if this is an issue with the Flash plugin in Boxee or something else.

I would love to have this working for me.

    Thanks,

Oh, it looks like Fancast plays the first 1 second (or less) then stops.

BTW, while the videos are not playing, the timer is showing that the clip is progressing as usual (it's counting up).

Inside boxee, what are your video settings? IE hardware enabled and trying to use VDPAU, software, ect.
