    Default Vudu Deactivation???

I have the latest Software version (1.0.3.17064).

    If I go to:

    Settings > System > Services

    I see Vudu Deactivation

    What does this do?

Was hoping it may remove the vudu vids from library, but don't know.

If you sign up for Vudu via the Boxee Box, that Box will be activated with Vudu -- so that Vudu "knows" about that device and links it to your account (which may also have a credit card linked to it).

If you want to "deactivate" Vudu on that Box (unlink it from your Vudu) account, then you would use "Vudu Decactivation".

If you don't sign up with Vudu, it won't do anything (useful).

What "library" are you trying to remove Vudu from? If you mean from the Boxee Repository (Apps>>All) then no, you can't do that. You can only add/remove items from your Favorite Apps.

As I don't have a Vudu account, I was trying to get the Vudu content to not show up under Movies>All.

But no dice, it still does.

He may mean the Movie listing, that in the "All" view would be showing Vudu stuff mixed in with his local movies?

    Edit: heh, crosspost

All pretty much means just that: All So no, no way to remove content sources from All.

Unfortunately, that alone is just about enough to make me skip Boxee. When I want to view the library of what movies I can watch, I don't want to view movies I'll have to pay for if I'm looking to see what I can view for free. What if I only want to view sources that I actually have available? Such as Netflix / Hulu / Free sites. Having ads from Vudu in your face and not being able to turn it off is quite a turn off.

You can always browse by individual provider (aka "channels" in the movies submenu).

Would love to see the ability to edit which channels show up from the settings menu.

I agree. There should be a way to exclude certain channels (vudu) in your movie search. For instance when I am looking for movies by genre all the vudu movies appear in the results. I have to endlessly click until I find a non-Vudu movie. Very annoying for genre searching!
